Designing a Timber Frame Home in Delaware

Delaware offers a distinctive range of settings for a timber frame home, from the coastal communities along the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay to wooded properties, rural landscapes, and quiet countryside retreats. Timber frame architecture complements these surroundings with exposed wood craftsmanship, expansive windows, and open living spaces that connect the home to its natural setting.

Every Woodhouse home begins with the people who will live there and the property they have chosen. Our team can customize an existing floor plan or create a fully original design tailored to your site, lifestyle, architectural preferences, and long-term plans. Features such as covered porches, inviting gathering spaces, and energy-efficient structural insulated panels (SIPs) can be incorporated to create comfortable living environments suited to Delaware's seasonal climate and opportunities for outdoor living. Coastal properties may also call for additional attention to wind exposure, moisture, and local building requirements.

Since 1979, Woodhouse has specialized in architectural design, engineering, and precision timber frame fabrication. We collaborate with your local builder and project team, providing the specialized timber frame expertise and home package components needed to bring your Delaware home to life.
