Designing a Timber Frame Home in Idaho

Idaho offers an exceptional setting for a timber frame home, from the forested mountains and pristine lakes of the north to the rugged valleys, rolling foothills, and wide-open landscapes of southern Idaho. Timber frame architecture complements these surroundings with exposed wood craftsmanship, expansive windows, and inviting living spaces that celebrate the natural beauty of the property.

Every Woodhouse home begins with the people who will live there and the land they have chosen. Our team can customize an existing floor plan or create a fully original design tailored to your site, lifestyle, architectural preferences, and long-term plans. Features such as covered outdoor living areas, generous gathering spaces, and energy-efficient structural insulated panels (SIPs) can help create a comfortable home for Idaho's changing seasons. Site-specific engineering also considers snow loads, elevation, wind exposure, and applicable local building requirements.

Since 1979, Woodhouse has specialized in architectural design, engineering, and precision timber frame fabrication. We collaborate with your local builder and project team, providing the specialized timber frame expertise and home package components needed to bring your Idaho home to life.
