Designing a Custom Timber Frame Home
A Woodhouse custom timber frame home can be customized to your vision. Our entire design process, from the initial consultation to the final design, is fine-tuned to meet our clients’ design needs. You will work closely with our specialized timber frame design team and your Regional Project Manager regularly to define your dream.
The Woodhouse design process consists of two paths to designing a dream home:
1. Use a Pre-Designed Floor Plan as a Starting Point
Begin the design process by starting with one of our pre-designed floor plans and our team of design professionals will work with you to add any personal modifications so that you can build the dream home you’ve always imagined. We’ll make your home the way that you want it.
All of our pre-designed floor plans are included in our online gallery and provide basic dimensions and room areas, 4 elevation drawings, and 3D renderings to help our clients visualize their home before it is even designed or constructed. By using these layouts as the starting point, our clients are able to customize any Woodhouse design and convert a floor plan into the home of their dreams.
2. Design your custom home completely from scratch
We help you through every step of the custom design process, from providing you with tools for inspiration to making sure you truly see your design before you start building.
By first visiting your land and then working closely with you to understand all of your wants and needs, we can ensure that we will design the home of your dreams. Our design team invites you to share your ideas with us, whether it’s an elaborate architectural plan or a quick sketch on a napkin. They have seen it all.
Our Woodhouse building philosophy is to make your life as easy as possible. Our team has more than 150 years of combined experience in the industry and a passion for all things related to timber frames. The Woodhouse Regional Project Managers are here to guide you and answer any of your questions through the entire process of building your dream home, from the initial research phase to the time you start planning your budget.
