My name is Pat Seaman and I am the owner of Woodhouse. This past Fall, my wife and I took our youngest to college and officially became “empty nesters.” We decided to design an age-in-place, empty nester home and build it on 18 acres of woods we subdivided from our existing property. We also decided it would be valuable for you to follow along with the process – from design to final landscaping and move-in.

And to make life more interesting, just as we completed the design and budget, our current home sold and we are moving into temporary lodgings until the new home is completed!

Our intention is a series of posts containing video, still imagery, written and spoken descriptions of each step of the process over the next year or so as we make this new home a reality.

Aside from the hundreds of Woodhouse projects I’ve been involved with, I’ve personally built 6 Woodhouse homes over the last 20 years and there’s always something new to learn. Follow along and learn with us.
